Does anyone with a CDL believe the liability should be separated between commercial and private vehicles?
If you hold a CDL, anything you do including walking after having a few drinks (if you drink) and are over a .04 if you have a hazmat endorsement is held against your CDL. It doesn't matter if you are not even near a commercial vehicle, the law still holds the offense against you as if you were driving one. It is my feeling that liability should be held against the offender according to the vehicle they are driving instead of destroying a persons livelihood.
