Small, pulsating, stabbing pain during period?

It feels like i have a stabbing, pulsating pain right around my ovary area during my period? More on one side than the other. But it feels like its right in one area the whole time and its small, not very sharp, kind of annoying pain but its pulsating too..? Its kind of hard to explain but i did my best. Has anyone else experienced this?
