Do you think President Abraham Lincoln Was A Honest(Abe) President or a Tyrant/Northern Extremist?

Some where in the middle. He was thrust into a difficult situation and made the decision he thought was the best one for preserving the Union. Whether or not his actions were the correct ones is debatable. Personally, I think civil war could have been avoided and that violence was an option too quickly accepted.
