Sharp pain.Period cramps?

Okay so i was making dinner for myself. And i got a really sharp pain in my lower back and right above my crotch,haha. and i havent started my first period yet and it only lasted for about 1 min. So do you get a series of cramps before you start your period?Or did it have nothing to even do with my first period?
